Airline Seats Are Dangerously Close.

  • by

We have been doing some Airlines Research traveling lately, And let us be the first to tell you. Airlines seats seem to be shrinking. If you find yourself on An airplane this year take a tape measure with you, a small paper one will do just fine. Measure the leg room and send us the photo. Do this every year and we are willing to bet the seats will be closer.

united airlines leg room does not exist
Sir please squeeze in until you damage your knees and end the flight with damaged knees from rough landing

We boarded the plane noticed how small the seats are almost as if they shrank overnight. After everyone boarded we asked the flight attendant if we could switch seats to the open emergency exit seat. There was one person sitting there in a row of three. She said absolutely not that they are not upgrading seats anymore. Clearly they are trying to scrape pennies together to make another buck by putting all their loyal flyers in a uncomfortable situation.

In short if you are over 6 foot tall or overweight plan on a extra uncomfortable trip.

Is it a safety risk? We think so. But the FAA does not plan to limit their abilities when it cones to how small is to small. But we think we will just drive from now on. Thanks but no thanks airlines. We are not sheep so stop treating us like sheep.

The Emergency exit Aisle seat barely enough room for people to walk thru and they expect people to assist passengers exiting.

Should the FAA make airlines meet minimum time limits when it comes to an emergency evacuation of the plane?

When An airline announces they need passengers to check carry on bags because they will not all fit in the overhead bins id say the problem is starting to come to fruition. They care more about $1 more then they care about your health and safety.

What else are the Airlines being cheap on

The FAA should consider posting airline maintenance records for each plane in use. If passengers could see when the plane was last serviced they may not even get on the plane.

Just how old is that plane? Well with the carriers that have been around longer the fleet age is an average of 10 years. and the newer airline companies with lower costs typically have the newer planes. But with that they have less leg room and more fees for luggage which end up making them about the same cost as everyone else.

The biggest annoyance for most people who fly is the extra fees airlines are adding, they find new ways to charge you more at the gate. Read the small print before bringing that carry on you think is free. because alot of airlines are now charging just to bring on the carry on. They have changed the verbiage to personal item allowed but not a carry on.
